Gov. Dan McKee and Education Commissioner Angélica Infante-Green announced Dr. Javier Montañez as the new interim superintendent for the Providence Public School District on Tuesday June 8, 2021.

Dr. Montañez, is an alumnus of Hope High School, is the principal of Leviton Dual Language School and has worked more than twenty years in the district. He earned his Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership from Johnson & Wales University.

The Crowley Award Ceremony recognizing Rep. Gregg Amore will be conducted at 3 pm on Monday March 15 2021

Alexandria, Va. – Feb. 23, 2021 – AASA, The School Superintendents Association, is pleased to release its ninth annual superintendent salary study to gauge school district leadership compensation and benefits.

 

The report, 2020-21 AASA Superintendent Salary & Benefits Study, was released in two versions: a full version for AASA members and an abridged version for wider circulation. The current study is based on more than 1,500 responses.

AASA is pleased to join its partner, Learning First Alliance, in celebrating Public Schools Week. While school may not look like it used to, AASA remains committed to providing access to high-quality public education to every student and committed to supporting amazing educators like you.
